Taobao Global

It has more online shoppers than USA, UK and Australia combined! Taobao is the go-to online shopping site inside China with nearly 60% of Chinese e-commerce sales. 


A Chinese multi-purpose messaging, social media and mobile payment app. First released in 2011, it became the world's largest standalone mobile app in 2018, with over 1 billion monthly active users. Described as China's "app for everything" and a "super app" because of its wide range of functions.

Sina Weibo

A Chinese microblogging (weibo) website, one of the biggest social media platforms in China, with over 445 million monthly active users. Sina Weibo is a platform based on fostering user relationships to share, disseminate and receive information.


A social media and e-commerce platform, was created in 2013. By 2019, Red has over 300 million registered users, with 70% of the users born after 1990s, 80% of the users are females, monthly active users is over 85 million. Red also operates Red Mall, which sells international products to Chinese users.


A Chinese video-sharing social networking service, founded in 2012. It is used to create short music, lip-sync, dance, comedy and talent videos, and short looping videos. TikTok has been made available in over 150 markets, and in 75 languages, the most-downloaded app on Apple's App Store.
